Shoes and Suits

Students may wear any style and colour dance wear that they choose. Bodysuits, tights, leg warmers, jazz pants (leggings), dance shorts, ballet skirts, are all acceptable attire.

For the jazz and ballet portion of the class, students will need a pair of ballet slippers, gym slippers or jazz shoes.

For the tap portion of the class, students will need a pair of tap shoes.

Dancers 4-6yrs usually wear outfits similar to this. Any colour is acceptable.

Older dancers usually wear something like this. Please be mindful of loose fitting tops, they aren't always appropriate.

Dancers of all ages also wear outfits like this.

This is a typical ballet slipper worn for the jazz and ballet portion of our class. Any colour is acceptable.

Older dancers sometimes prefer a traditional jazz shoe. Some of these shoes have laces and they are usually black.

Tap shoes can be any colour. Black is popular but white is also an option.

Shoe Swap

Kids grow out of their dance shoes very quickly.

At the studio, we have a regular supply of used shoes to select from. Second hand shoes usually sell for $10

Hair

All students should wear their hair neatly pinned back as not to distract them during the class.

Buns, braids, ponytails, barrettes, clips, headbands are all acceptable.
